The Plumbing Partner Your Remodel Needs

Tile and paint get the compliments, but plumbing makes a remodel work. A bathroom plumbing remodel in Knoxville done right means drains that slope correctly, valves set at the right depth, supply lines sized for real flow and nothing hidden in the wall that'll fail next year. WHiZPRO PLUMBER handles the plumbing side of bathroom and kitchen remodels, from a simple fixture swap to relocating drains and supply lines.

We work directly with homeowners and alongside your contractor. To be upfront, we don't do tile or drywall. We do the plumbing, and we do it to code, on schedule and without leaving a mess for the next trade. If your project needs a permit, we check the requirements before work begins, and we pressure-test new lines before the walls close so problems never get buried behind fresh tile.

Walls already open? It's the cheapest time you'll ever get to replace aging pipe, because the labor and patching are mostly done. Ask about upgrading to PEX repiping while you have access, so your new bathroom isn't sitting on 50-year-old plumbing. It's a small add-on today compared to opening up finished walls a few years down the road. We'll price it separately so you can decide.

What we do

Your Bathroom Plumbing Remodel in Knoxville, Plus Kitchens & Fixtures

Whether you're refreshing fixtures or gutting the room to the studs, we handle the plumbing from rough-in to final hookup.

Bathroom Plumbing Remodels

We rough in and finish the plumbing for new layouts, vanities, showers and toilets. That includes moving drains and supply lines, setting shower valves at the correct depth for your wall finish and confirming proper venting, so your new bathroom drains fast and stays leak-free behind the tile.

Kitchen Plumbing Remodels

New island sink, relocated range wall or upgraded appliances? We run new supply and drain lines, install sinks, faucets, dishwashers and garbage disposals, and make sure everything is connected to code. Planning a gas range? Our gas line installation service can handle the hookup.

Tub & Shower Replacement

Heavy old cast-iron tubs are tough to remove, and we handle that job so you don't have to. We replace them with lighter, modern fiberglass tubs or shower bases, swap in new valves and trim, and connect the drain properly. Your tile or surround contractor can take it from there.

Walk-In Tub Installation

A walk-in tub makes bathing safer and easier for aging parents, seniors and anyone with limited mobility. We remove the existing tub, confirm your water heater can keep up with the larger fill, and install the walk-in tub with correct supply, drain and valve connections.

Fixture, Faucet & Toilet Installation

We install faucets, sinks, toilets and shower trim from trusted brands like Delta, sized and set properly so they work the way they should. Swapping out a wobbly toilet or a dated vanity faucet is one of the fastest ways to make an old bathroom feel new.

Bidet Installation

Whether you want a bidet seat on your existing toilet or a standalone bidet fixture, we handle the water supply connection and installation cleanly. It's a small upgrade that homeowners tend to wonder how they lived without.

Pipe Upgrades During Remodels

Opening a wall is the perfect chance to replace corroded galvanized, polybutylene or aging copper lines. We swap them for cold-expansion PEX that resists chlorine and holds up long term, so your new finishes aren't sitting on old plumbing waiting to fail.

What Affects Remodel Plumbing Costs?

The biggest cost driver is how much plumbing moves. Swapping fixtures in the same spot is straightforward. Relocating a toilet, adding a shower where there wasn't one or moving a kitchen sink to an island means new drains, venting and supply lines, which takes more labor and materials. The age of your existing pipes and access through a crawlspace or slab matter too.

We give you a detailed, up-front price before any work starts. See our price guide for common fixture installs, and ask about remodel financing to spread the cost of a bigger project over time.

Fix it now, pay over time. Financing through Wisetack, and checking your options won’t affect your credit score.

Remodeling Older Homes Across East Tennessee

A lot of homes around here were built decades ago, and remodels often uncover galvanized steel, polybutylene or cast-iron drains that are past their prime. We see it regularly in established neighborhoods and older homes, where a quick fixture swap turns into a smart plumbing upgrade once the wall is open.

We handle remodel plumbing for homeowners in Knoxville, Maryville, Hardin Valley, Farragut and Tellico Village, where many retirees choose walk-in tubs and accessible bathroom upgrades to age comfortably in place.

Plumbing Remodeling FAQs

Do I need a permit for a bathroom plumbing remodel in Knoxville?

Often, yes. Larger changes like moving drains, adding fixtures or rerouting supply lines usually require a plumbing permit, while simple fixture swaps in the same location typically don't. Requirements depend on your jurisdiction and project scope, so we check what applies to your job before any work begins and make sure the plumbing is done to code.

How long does remodel plumbing take?

It depends on how much plumbing moves. Swapping a faucet, toilet or vanity is often done in a few hours. Relocating drains, adding a shower or rerouting supply lines can take several days, including inspection time if a permit is needed. We'll give you a realistic timeline up front and coordinate with your contractor so the project keeps moving.

Can you move a toilet or shower during a remodel?

Usually, yes. Moving a toilet or shower means relocating the drain, vent and supply lines, so we check drain slope, venting, floor structure and clearances first. Homes on a crawlspace are generally easier than slab foundations. We'll tell you what's practical, what it involves and the up-front cost before you commit to a layout.

Do you do tile and drywall too?

No. We're plumbers, and we focus on doing the plumbing right. We handle rough-in, fixture installation, tub and shower replacement, and pipe upgrades. For tile, drywall and finish carpentry, we work alongside your contractor or the trades you choose, and we leave the space clean and ready for them.

Should I replace old pipes during a remodel?

If your home has galvanized steel, polybutylene or aging copper, a remodel is the best time to replace it. Walls and floors are already open, so labor and patching costs are lower than doing it later. Signs it's time include corrosion, discolored water, low pressure and repeated leaks. We can inspect your lines and give an honest recommendation.

Is a walk-in tub worth it?

For seniors, people with limited mobility or anyone planning to age in place, a walk-in tub can make bathing much safer and more comfortable. They do need a larger hot water supply and take longer to fill and drain than a standard tub. We'll check whether your water heater can keep up and handle the full installation.
